Unemployment Rate Increases in July
The July labor market statistics for the region reflected a rate of 5.1%, an increase from the June rate (4.8%). The regional unemployment rate is lower than the rate recorded a year ago (5.5%).
Mobile Ambulance Simulator Brings Life-Saving Training to Polk County
Workforce Solutions Deep East Texas announces the arrival of a mobile ambulance simulator funded by the Texas Workforce Commission’s Rural Training Lab Grant. This hands-on training tool will support a new EMT program in Polk County.
